Short version: the clothes are real. Some of the imagery around them is not.

Always real

  • Every garment we sell physically exists. We produce it, we hold it, we ship it.
  • Every product is photographed from the actual item. Fit, fabric, colour and measurements come from the real garment.

Where AI is involved

  • Imagery. Some models, poses and settings in our on-model and campaign shots are AI-generated. Those people and places are not real. The garment in the picture is.
  • Image editing. Cut-outs, the grey studio background, colour correction and retouching are partly AI-assisted.
  • Text. Some product and category descriptions are drafted with AI assistance and checked by a person before they go live. Legal pages, sizing and shipping terms are written by us.
  • Translation. This store runs in several languages and parts of it are machine-translated. English is the version we write ourselves. If a translated page and the English page disagree, the English one is what we meant.
  • The tools we run on. We use software with AI features for things like drafting support replies, sorting and internal analysis. Where that touches something you read here, the rule above applies: a person checks it before it goes live.

Where it isn't

  • Prices and shipping rates are set by us, not by an algorithm that reads you and moves the number.
  • We don't use AI to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you. Automated steps in checkout and returns — such as deducting a return-label fee — follow fixed rules we set, not AI.
  • We don't publish AI-generated reviews or testimonials. Reviews come from real buyers.

The part we can't certify

This store has been running since 2023 and carries several thousand files. Everything we publish from here on is checked against the list above. We cannot retroactively certify every older image, translation or third-party file. If something here is AI-generated and isn't covered above, that's an oversight and not a claim — write to julius@strides-jp.com and we label it or take it down.

Why this page exists

Article 50 of the EU AI Act sets transparency rules for AI-generated content and has applied since 2 August 2026. We would rather write it down than have you find out.
